Students Moving Forward – Career Help for Students on the Autism Spectrum

Last academic year we piloted Students Moving Forward (SMF), and this year we are officially rolling it out! To help provide better service to our students in SMF, we have established two new partnerships with SAS and UNC TEACCH

SMF is a career-focused group utilizing evidence-based techniques to support students who are on the autism spectrum (neuro-diverse). The group has 3 primary goals:
(1) to provide tailored career guidance for neuro-diverse students (students who identify as being on the autism spectrum)
(2) to cultivate a sense of community and strengthen social and professional networks
(3) to help obtain and successfully navigate degree-related internships and full-time opportunities

As a secondary goal, we are striving to serve as an educational resource for NC State faculty, staff, and employer partners who are recruiting students on the autism spectrum (whether knowingly or unknowingly).

Below is a flyer for SMF. If you know a student who openly identifies as being neuro-diverse, please send them this flyer, or you may have them email me at: wjwade@ncsu.edu

They may also register for the group using this link: go.ncsu.edu/SMF

Thank you for your support!
