Academic Advising Programs and Services (AAPS) houses a collaborative of cross-curricular professional advisors who partner to provide 1) walk-in, face-to-face, and virtual advising to degree-seeking undergraduate students who are exploring majors; 2) advising support and development to faculty and staff across the campus; and 3) current information on General Education Plan courses, declaring majors & minors, and academic policies to the NC State student body at-large. Academic Advising Programs and Services is the administrative department that provides major decision-making and advising support for undecided first-year students who enroll in the Exploratory Studies Program, as well as re-deciding students in the Inter-College Transfer (ICT) Program.
While we continue to provide the same cadre of services, our department’s website has been updated to reflect our expanded work and mission. The new website can be found at advising.dasa.ncsu.edu, Academic Advising Programs and Services. Please update your personal bookmarks and department links to our page and share this resource with students who need our support identifying a best-fit major.
On the new site you will find information about the Exploratory Studies Program, Inter-Campus Transfer Program, Explore Majors and Minors, academic advising resources for students and for advisors.
Please direct students, as appropriate, to schedules for walk-in advising and the link to virtual advising. We are glad to serve them through their transition.
