Graduating Senior Checklist – Spring/Summer 2019

Here is a helpful checklist to send to students who are graduating in Spring or Summer.

Now that you have had a chance to enroll in Spring and Summer classes, it is imperative that we do a check of your courses to be sure you’ll be completing the requirements needed to graduate. Please take a moment this week for the following:
1. Check your Degree Audit for red X’s (unmet requirements), blue stars (planned requirements), or red squares (incompletes) after you have enrolled
  • You should only see yellow diamonds (enrolled courses) and green checks (completed courses)  next to requirements! On the page where you click to “view” your degree audit, you can un-check the “Include planned Courses” option at the top, making your check easier.
  • Email me if you find anything other than green checks and  yellow diamonds after you have enrolled…do not assume they will be taken care of. You CANNOT graduate with any
unmet requirements (red X’snor incomplete grades (red squares) on your degree audit! Everything will eventually have to be a green check to graduate.
  • Have we already discussed your red X? Feel free to email me anyway to be on the safe side!
2. Check your Degree Audit for non-degree courses. If you are federal financial aid, you should check with the Financial Aid office before taking any course that is not required for a major or declared minor as federal financial aid is only to be used to fulfill requirements..
  • Do not apply grade exclusions for a course that is counting toward your degree…it will no longer count and you’ll have to retake that course, or another one that fulfills the same requirement!
  • Email me if you have questions!
4. Be sure that you have added minors and submitted any necessary paperwork regarding minors before applying for graduation. Contact your minor advisor for help if needed.
5Only after applying grade exclusions and adding any necessary minor, apply online for graduation in MyPack.

Please let me know if you run into problems or have questions!
